In the heart of Yangneer Gewog, atop a picturesque hillock shaped like a sacred Bumpa, a transformative journey in agriculture and livestock began today. The much-anticipated Integrated Farm at Tshowoongpoktur was inaugurated with a thruesel ceremony led by Lam Neten of Trashigang Rabdey, marking a profound spiritual blessing for this ambitious endeavor.

Spanning nine acres of fertile land, this visionary project was initiated by four pioneering farmers who recognized the immense potential of the area. With unwavering dedication, they have set into motion four key farming activities:

1. Dairy Farming – A thriving herd of 29 cows, ensuring a steady supply of fresh milk and dairy products.

2. Poultry Farming – An impressive 1,900 chickens, poised to meet the growing demand for eggs and meat.

3. High-Yield Fruit Plantation – Cultivating premium-quality fruits to enhance both nutrition and income for local farmers.

4. Sustainable Agriculture – A commitment to organic and resilient farming practices to strengthen food security.

As if nature itself had ordained this venture, the farm’s journey began with the birth of a pure white calf—a symbol of prosperity, purity, and a promising future. This auspicious sign reaffirms Trashigang Dzongkhag’s potential to emerge as a trusted and reliable hub for livestock and agricultural products.

The collaborative efforts of the livestock, agriculture, and engineering sectors have brought this project to life, filling the air with a sense of accomplishment and hope. More than just a farm, Tshowoongpoktur stands as a beacon of rural transformation—a place where hard work meets opportunity, where tradition embraces innovation, and where livelihoods are uplifted with every harvest.

Indeed, the journey of a thousand miles has begun, not just with a single step, but with the determined spirit of a community ready to thrive.
