The soil at Sakteng Pusa has been turned, and a new bridge is officially underway.
For years, residents have crossed the river on a wooden bridge worn thin by weather and time. That will soon change. In its place rises a 125-metre Bailey bridge โ built for durability, built to hold, built to last โ connecting 17 households to safer, more reliable passage.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held on 22nd September 2026, graced by sacred rites and presided over by Hon. Tashi Tenzin, Member of Parliament for Radhi-Sakteng Constituency.
A wooden crossing gives way to steel resolve. Sakteng’s connectivity just took a decisive step forward.
