Day Two of Rhododendron Week at Sheytemi came alive with thrilling contests that celebrated the strength, unity, and enduring spirit of Bhutanโ€™s highland communities. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of blooming rhododendrons, the festival grounds echoed with cheers as some of the most anticipated traditional games took center stage.

The Highland Wrestling Competition proved to be one of the most captivating highlights of the day. Wrestlers from Merak and Sakteng demonstrated remarkable strength, agility, and traditional wrestling techniques in a series of intense bouts. Each match was a display not only of physical prowess but also of the pride and resilience deeply rooted in highland culture.

Adding to the excitement, the Womenโ€™s Tug of War brought together teams from the upper Eight gewogs of Trashigang Dzongkhag Ladies in a spirited contest of teamwork and endurance.
