Trashigang, 25 June 2024 – A comprehensive one-day legal advocacy program was conducted today at the Dzongkhag DT Hall, Trashigang. Organized by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) in collaboration with the Thimphu Public Notary and the Legal Aid Center, the event aimed at enhancing access to justice for the citizens of Trashigang and surrounding regions.

The program brought together around 90 participants, including Dzongkhag sector heads, Gups, Mangmis, GAOs of all Gewogs, RBP, officials from Thromdes/municipalities, and other relevant officials. The attendees gathered at 9:00 AM for registration and networking before the program commenced.

The event was officially opened with welcome remarks by Dasho Dzongda, followed by the opening remarks from the Hon'ble Attorney General. The Attorney General highlighted the objectives of the awareness program, focusing on how the OAG can support Dzongkhags and Gewogs in civil litigation and arbitration.
