The 15th Moenlam Chenmo (Great Global Peace Prayer) was held in Trashigang from 2–6 March 2026, bringing together monks, devotees, volunteers, and dignitaries in collective prayers for global peace, harmony, and the wellbeing of all sentient beings.
The sacred event was led under the spiritual guidance of Lama Neten Rinpoche and took place during the auspicious Chotrul Dawa, a period believed to multiply spiritual merit.
Throughout the five days, participants engaged in sacred chants, butter lamp offerings, and spiritual rituals. The gathering also welcomed delegations from Trashiyangtse and Lhuentse, reflecting the shared spiritual unity of eastern Bhutan.
Key highlights included the sacred Drakmar Empowerment, the evening ritual of Chod Singye Tszewai Tshokhor, and continuous prayers dedicated to peace and compassion.
The event concluded on 6 March 2026, marking a successful spiritual gathering and transforming Trashigang into a beacon of peace and devotion. The prayers offered during the Moenlam Chenmo carry hopes for harmony across the world and align with Bhutan’s vision of a mindful and compassionate society.
