On 27th February 2026, Trashigang Dzongkhag formally welcomed its new Senior Dzongrab, Dasho Dorji Rinchen, through a warm reception and ceremonial joining held with the Dzongkhag family.
Bringing over 17 years of public service experience, his early role as Assistant Research Officer to his leadership as Chief Civil Registration and Census Officer under the Department of Civil Registration and Census, his professional journey stands rooted in strengthening systems that serve citizens directly.
His return to Trashigang carries special significance. Once serving here as Dy. Chief Civil Registration and Census Officer, he rejoins the Dzongkhag with familiarity and understanding of its people and aspirations.
The formal ceremony today was not just a welcome, but a symbol of continuity โ a passing of responsibility guided by trust and shared purpose. As he assumes his new role, the Dzongkhag looks forward to strengthened service delivery, responsive administration, and continued progress for the communities he now serves.
