In the highlands of Sheytemi, Merak, where Rhododendrons bloom against mist-covered mountains, the fifth day of Rhododendron Week paused to honor a different kind of beauty โ the quiet dedication of Bhutanโs health workers.
Graced by the Honโble Health Minister of Bhutan, 73 frontline health professionals โ including doctors, nurses, health assistants, technicians, village health workers and senior specialists โ were recognised for their service to the nation. Many have spent years delivering care in Bhutanโs most remote communities, where compassion and resilience travel farther than roads.
The recognition celebrated not only long service and performance in healthcare delivery, but also the enduring commitment of those who protect the wellbeing of communities across the country.
Echoing the deeper spirit of the festival, the dayโs defining moment came with the wellness session โ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐๐: ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐. ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐ โ ๐บ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐.โ
Through mindfulness, breathing practices and guided reflection, participants were invited to reconnect with inner balance โ a reminder that health is not only physical, but also emotional and mental.
Just as Rhododendrons bloom across Bhutanโs mountains, the message of the day was simple and profound: ๐๐จ๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐ก๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ฌ โ ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐๐ฌ, ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ ๐๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ง.
