Information & Comunication Technology

The Dzongkhag Administration,Trashigang is connected with 4 Mbps Lease Line internet connection and 8 Mbps P2P Connection from the Bhutan Telecom.The office computers in the different sectors has the internet facilities connected with the DLAN.

Since Trashigang Dzong is undergoing major renovation, under the Dzong Conservation Project, the offices had to be shifted to Trashigang MSS, and all the LAN and internet connection works had to begin from the scratch. Now the internet connection is stable and WiFi connection is also available.

With regard to the community centers, all most all 15 gewogs are connected to the internet through the optic fiber ADSS cables. The CCs are connected from the Kanglung BPC Substation where the uplink of the internet is made from the Dzongkhag

The CCs are well equipped with basic community facilities like,Xerox, Printing,Binding,Scanning,Lamination and fiber internet facilities.The Government to Citizen(G2C) services can also be availed from the Community Centers henceforth.

Now, the concept of Virtual Zomdue(Video Conference) is also introduced in one gewog in five constituencies. Virtual Zomdue equipments are installed in following gewogs.
  1. Phongmey CC, under Merak-Sakten-Phongmey-Radhi Constituency
  2. Thrimshing CC, under Thrimshing-Kangpara Constituency
  3. Udzorong CC, under Kanglung-Samkhar-Udzorong Constituency
  4. Lumang CC, under Khaling-Lumang Constituency
  5. Yangneer CC, under Bartsham-Bidung-shongphu Consitituency
